2013 LTED Dressage Rider Application

To be eligible for funding, riders must be members of NBEA and have ridden in any of the following clinics:

To receive funding, riders must complete and submit the attached form by December 7th. Funding amounts will vary based on the clinics fees paid, the number of lessons taken, and the number of eligible riders.

In return for processing, riders who are not 2012 members of Dressage New Brunswick will have a nominal fee deducted from their funding and applied to a non-competitive DNB membership for 2013. These riders will be added to our membership e-mailing list and receive DNB notifications and news, including any future funding opportunities.

Full Provincial Championships Results

“NB dressage team takes nation by storm”

Throughout the summer, riders competed at events in the province in an effort to qualify for the NB Team. In August, the NB Team for Dressage was announced and consisted of; Tiffany Hamilton and Ducatti, Renée DeGarie and Bosko, Lexie LeBlanc and Slip N Slide, and Haley Greenbank and Denali. The reserve riders were Colleen Carrol-Nisbett and Beausoleil and Alyssa Gaudet and Diamante. Through generous sponsorship of the NBEA, these riders were able to attend a training camp prior to the event and receive coaching at the show grounds from the designated team coach, Donna McInnis.

The format of the event is similar to the Olympics, were medals are awarded to teams, in addition to individual standings, based on the combined results after 3 days of competition. Here are the highlights:

On Day 1, all riders rode fabulous tests, and Tiffany Hamilton and her horse Ducatti won the class with a 71.08%! Renée DeGarie and Bosko placed 6th with a 66.89%, followed by Lexie LeBlanc and Slip N Slide in 11th place with 66.08% and Haley Greenbank in 14th with 64.18%.

On Day 2 of the competition, our junior riders stepped up to plate! Lexie LeBlanc moved up to 2nd place with a 70.48%, followed by Haley Greenbank in 3rd place with a 66.29%, and Renée DeGarie in 7th place with a 61.13%.

On Day 3, the pressure was on! The dressage team for NB, PEI and NS were mere points away from the top 3 places, and our riders rode their best tests yet! All four of our riders placed in the top 8 of the class! No other team was able to achieve this during the 3 days of competition! Tiffany Hamilton and her amazingly-talented Ducatti won the class with a 69.52%. Lexie LeBlanc rode amazing trot extensions with her pony Slip N Slide, and was awarded a 64.52%, which put her in 5th place. Haley Greenbank and Denali (owned by Michelle DeGarie) rode a steady and consistent test, which awarded them a 64.03% for 6th place. Renée DeGarie continued her consistent rides on her horse Bosko and was awarded a 63.07% for an 8th place finish.

Once all the results were compiled, both of our junior riders received medals! Lexie LeBlanc and Slip N Slide were awarded the CIEC Dressage Junior Individual Silver Medal, and Haley Greenbank and Denali were awarded the CIEC Dressage Junior Individual Bronze Medal!!!! In the Senior division, Renée DeGarie and Bosko were awarded the CIEC Dressage Senior Individual Silver Medal!!! To have 3 of our riders place individually is incredible!!!

But wait! There’s more!

Once the team results were compiled, the NB Team for Dressage was awarded the CIEC Dressage Team GOLD medal!!!

We will be hosting a special awards ceremony followed by a meet n’ great on Saturday October 6th starting at 4:30pm at the PLP Show Center in Sussex, following the last ride at the DNB Provincial Championships. Please come out and meet the “Dream Team”, and show the team how proud we are of their achievements!

In the overall individual junior standings, Lexie LeBlanc won the silver medal, and Haley Greenbank won the bronze!!!!!!

In the overall individual senior standings, Renee DeGarie won the silver medal!!!!!!
