J.P. Giacomini was born in France where he started riding under the tutelage of French Cavalry office Hubert Clauzel.  Later he studied dressage with Master Nuno Oliveira for over a year and at the Portuguese National Stud of Alter Real where he was assistant trainer for three-and-a-half years.  He rode many green colts, raced in a few steeplechases, evented; show jumped and trained the first of 15 Grand Pirx Dressage horses.  He was fortunate enough work with founders of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. His clinics were attended by numerous Olympic riders.  JP produced international champions in Dressage and Show-Jumping, including Lusitano stallion Novilheiro. He rode Liostro a great horse trained by the late German Master Hebert Rehbein, gave clinics and coached international event and dressage riders from: England , Canada , the United States , France , Ireland and Portugal . Among this list is Medalist Rachel Bayliss who, aboard four different horses, all trained by JP placed or won.  Bayliss won five Gold and silver FEI Medals in European and World Championships. JP is an inventor of the holistic sport horse management and biomechanics development. This combination of theoretical knowledge and empirical experiences resulted in the eventual creation of “JP’s Essential Horsemanship Training System”.

distribute funding for riders who have or will take part in dressage clinics held in New Brunswick from January through November, 2011.  To be eligible,for funding, riders must be members of the NBEA and have ridden in any of the following clinic: Cindy Ishoy, David Marcus, Jill Stedman, John MacPherson, Denielle Gallagher-LeGriffon.

To receive funding, riders must complete and submit the attached entry form by November 15th.  funding amounts will vary based on the clinic fees paid, the number of lessons taken, and the number of eligible riders. in return for processing, riders who are not members of Dressage New Brunswick will have a nominal fee deducted from their funding and applied to a non-competitive (DNB) membership for 2012.  these riders will be added to our membership e-mailing list and receive DNB notifications and news, including any future funding opportunities.

We are asking the clinic organizers to please forward this information along to all your clinic participants to ensure the word gets out.  We can only access our own DNB e-mailing list, not the NBEA list, so some of your riders who are not DNB members may miss this message. We do not want them to miss out on their funding.

Renee DeGarie and Bosko were First Level Champions on both days of the competition. Michelle DeGarie and Denali competed at Second Level.   Patti Gullive-Goucher competed Kane at 4th level and also had scores in the 60′s. Congrats to all NB Riders!!!!
