Award Nominations – Due October 9, 2015

With the competition season complete, it’s now time to submit results for stall plaques and/or lapel pins and submit nominations for the Junior Sport Person, Adult Sport Person, James Kupkee and James Mortimer Awards. See below the criteria and attached application form.

Members have until October 9th, 2015 to submit results and nominations.

Horse Award (Stall Plaque)

To be eligible for the following award the riders and horse owners must be current DNB members. This award recognizes the achievements horse and rider combinations. The scores for this award can be accumulated from 2010 onward. A minimum of three scores must be obtained from a gold competition in New Brunswick. One score may be from any out of province gold competition. Also, three out of the four scores must be obtained from different judges. Each plaque can only be received once per horse and rider combination (example: Training Level). The following scores must be achieved:

Walk/Trot to First Level – 4 scores of 63%
Second Level and above – 4 Scores of 60%

 

Rider Award (Lapel Pin)

To be eligible for the following award the riders must be current DNB members. This award recognizes the achievements of the rider. The scores for this award can be accumulated from 2008 onward. Each lapel pin can only be received once per rider. The following scores must be achieved:

Junior Sports Person Award

To be eligible for the following award the riders and horse owners must be current DNB members. Also the horse/rider combinations must have attended a minimum of two New Brunswick gold dressage competitions within the current year. The award is to be presented to a Junior DNB member who has shown outstanding sportsmanship within the current year.

 

Adult Sports Person Award

To be eligible for the following award the riders and horse owners must be current DNB members. Also the horse/rider combinations must have attended a minimum of two New Brunswick gold dressage competitions within the current year. The award is to be presented to an Adult DNB member who has shown outstanding sportsmanship within the current year.

 

Lieutenant Colonel James Kupkee Award

To be eligible for the following award the riders and horse owners must be current DNB members. Also the horse/rider combinations must have attended a minimum of two New Brunswick gold dressage competitions within the current year. The award is to be awarded to a horse/rider combination that has had an outstanding show season within the current year.

 

James Mortimer Award

To be eligible for the following awards the person does not have to be a DNB member. The award is to be presented to someone who has done an outstanding job of volunteering their time to help promote the sport of dressage in NB within the current year.
